Greenlyn Village Centre Morning Market

This is the ultimate place to go for a lovely Saturday morning.  Have breakfast when you arrive, browse, visit and then do lunch.  The food is so delectable you will want to take dinner home as well.   If you need gifts, you will not be left empty handed at this market.  You are sure to find the perfect typical South African treasure while experiencing the friendly warm culture of the people.  A better experience of South Africans will be hard to find.

Art, leather belts (fitted especially for you on the spot) and personalised soap.  This is foodie heaven with local South African olive oil and home grown cleaned strawberries, fresh figs in season and snoek to mention just a few.  Traditional fare of koeksisters and to-die-for curry powders are available in abundance.  Be careful, this is the real stuff and can be very hot.

o Remember to take cash - they have a ATM on the location, but it is a bit out of the way.

o Also go earlier rather than later to avoid the crowds.

o Either wear a hat or make sure to put on some suntan lotion it is outdoors.

Google "Hazel Food Market" for more information and summer and winter schedules.  This website was written in Afrikaans.  Please ask our friendly staff at reception to help.

Find them at Mackenzie and Thomas Edison Street, Menlo Park
